CR&R is excited to launch 1Core SuperSub, a program designed to connect qualified early childhood professionals with a network of child care centers and certified family child care providers across the region that are in need of staffing assistance. Substitutes are NOT employees of CCR&R, they are self-employed contractors. Programs will be responsible for paying for their substitutes through the 1Core app

The child care staffing shortage impacts everyone—programs, families, employers, and our broader community. When programs can’t stay fully staffed, classrooms close, families lose care, and parents miss work.

The 1Core SuperSub platform helps relieve that pressure by connecting programs with background‑check‑cleared, fully trained substitutes who can step in for both unexpected absences and planned time off.

How it works:

CCR&R is actively recruiting substitutes and will ensure each one completes all state‑required training, including CPR and First Aid, before they are cleared to accept jobs and enter classrooms. Substitutes and programs will connect through our mobile‑friendly 1Core SuperSub platform.

Child care center directors and certified family child care providers can log in anytime—day or night—to access the substitute pool.

Here’s what the process looks like:

• Post open positions quickly using pre‑populated job descriptions you can tailor to your program’s needs (perfect for those early‑morning surprises when a toddler teacher or preschool assistant calls out)
• The posting automatically sends a text message with a link to every substitute in the pool
• Interested and available substitutes respond directly through the platform
• Directors and providers select from the substitutes who reply
• The substitute arrives at the scheduled time—background‑check cleared and fully compliant with state training requirements
• Payment is processed through 1Core SuperSub App
• Your program is responsible for payment of substitutes through 1Core SuperSub CENTER app. Payment rate for a substitute is $150 per day (8 hours) or $75 per day (4 hours)
