family of 3As a member of Wisconsin's Family Resource Center (FRC) Network administered by Thriving Wisconsin, Child Care Resource & Referral provides activities, resources, referrals, and services that are available for all families.  

Activities and programs are typically provided at no or low cost to participants.

New- Join us for the Play group Park Tour! 

Families can enjoy play-based learning activities and time to connect with other parents and caregivers, at different park locations through out Calumet County. Get a stamp on your Playgroup Passport at each date you attend. Each family with 3 or more stamps will be entered to win a prize in August.  Register online HERE.

Parent Café Events  

Parent Cafés are safe spaces where families can talk and listen to each other on topics that matter to them, like the challenges and victories of raising children and families.  Come explore YOUR strengths, learn about the Protective Factors, and create strategies from your experiences to strengthen your relationships. Dinner and onsite child care will be provided at each event, along with fun giveaways!  Find upcoming dates and times for Parent Cafés HERE. 

 

Diaper Bank   diapers

As an Eastern WI KC diaper bank location, CCR&R distributes diapers monthly. Families can pick up at the CCR&R office once every 30 days, or pick up at the monthly diaper drop in Calumet County.

A one-time paper registration form will be required at your first pick-up. There are no income requirements. Learn more about pick up dates HERE

  

Play Space at CCR&R Office:

CCR&R's cozy play space is perfect for gathering with a small group of other parents, co-workers and their little ones, or just getting out of the house with your own children. There is no fee to play! Reservations preferred for groups, but drop-ins are also welcome. View the play space availability calendar HERE.  

The play space is open for families Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. during our regular office hours. It will be closed 1:30-2:30 on Mondays for deep cleaning and sanitizing. 

 

Child Care Referrals  

Searching for child care? We can help! Our CCR&R staff member will send families who begin the referral process a customized search of regulated childcare programs according to their child(ren)’s age, location, and schedule. Begin your referral online HERE, or call our office to speak with a Referral Specialist. 

 

Safe Sleep Program  

The Safe Sleep program at CCR&R provides families with essential items and education to ensure newborns have a sleeping babysafe place to sleep. Safe Sleep provides portable cribs, crib sheets, crib mattresses, mattress covers, and sleep sacks to families in need, through referral from other local community agencies.

Safe Sleep items are only available through referral appointment.

Referrals to Other Community Resources:  

CCR&R can assist families with providing additional referrals to other community agencies that can help with child care costs, housing, food assistance, mental health, and more.
