Assistant or Lead 

Are you dependable, caring, and passionate about helping young children learn and grow? We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant or Lead Teacher to join our child care team.

Our teachers create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children feel valued and supported. Experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who brings a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine love for children.

Reliability Is Essential

Children, families, and coworkers depend on our teachers every day. Applicants must have reliable transportation, arrive on time, maintain consistent attendance, and communicate responsibly. Dependability is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for children
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
  • Plan and participate in age-appropriate learning activities
  • Follow classroom routines and licensing requirements
  • Communicate positively with children, families, and coworkers
  • Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and classroom cleaning
  • Work cooperatively as part of a teaching team
  • For Lead Teachers: develop lesson plans, maintain classroom records, and guide classroom routines

Qualifications

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
  • Must enjoy working with young children
  • Must be patient, caring, energetic, and able to work as part of a team
  • Must meet Wisconsin child care licensing requirements for the position or be willing to complete required coursework
  • Previous child care experience is preferred, especially for Lead Teacher applicants
  • Must be able to pass required background checks
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred; training may be provided
