Introduction to the Child Care Profession – Blended Model

This course provides foundational knowledge and skills training for individuals as they begin a career in caring for children as an assistant teacher.

Training Details and Requirements
• This 50-hour course (15 in virtual meetings and 35 web-based) is being offered in a blended format, which means there will be a mix of Zoom training meetings and web-based work. In addition to Zoom meetings with your instructor, work will be assigned and completed on an online Learning Management System (LMS).
• Participants must attend every virtual meeting date and complete all assigned web-based work with an 80% grade or higher by Thursday, October 9, 2025 to successfully complete the course and earn Registry credit.
• Participants must have a computer, laptop, or tablet and reliable internet access to complete the web-based work and join the virtual meetings.
• Registered participants will receive a welcome email with more information about the course on Thursday, July 17, 2025. This welcome email will also help you gain access to the web-based work on the LMS. If registering after the course opens, please allow 24-48 hours before a course welcome email is sent to you. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders if you have not received any email communication.
