Fundamentals of Family Child Care – Blended Model

This course provides foundational knowledge and skills training for individuals as they begin a career as a family child care provider in a home setting.

Training Details and Requirements
• This 30-hour course (10 in virtual meetings and 20 web-based) is being offered in a blended format, which means there will be a mix of Zoom virtual training meetings and independent web-based work. In addition to virtual meetings with an instructor, work will be assigned and completed on an online Learning Management System called ECExplorer.
• Participants must attend every virtual meeting date and complete all assigned web-based work with an 80% grade or higher by February 24, 2025 to successfully complete the course and earn Registry credit.
• Participants must have a computer, laptop, or tablet and reliable internet access to complete the web-based work and join the virtual meetings.
Registered participants will receive a welcome email with more information about the course on Monday, January 5th, 2026. This welcome email will also help you gain access to the web-based work on ECExplorer. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders if you have not received any email communication by the end of that day.

•Tuesday, January 6th from 6:15 p.m.-8:45 p.m.
•Tuesday, January 13th from 6:15 p.m.-8:45 p.m.
•Tuesday, January 20th from 6:15 p.m.-8:45 p.m.
•Tuesday, January 27th from 6:15 p.m.-8:45 p.m.

Learning Management System (ECExplorer) Access
