FOOD PROGRAM HOME MONITOR POSITION AVAILABLE

Horizons is seeking applications for a part-time (up to 24 hours per week) Home Monitor for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The Home Monitor is responsible for conducting in-person reviews of regulated family childcare providers in compliance with the CACFP. The Monitor will also be responsible for recruiting providers to the CACFP, providing technical assistance to family daycare providers, providing training to daycare providers, processing monthly claim reimbursements, and other related office duties such as filing and answering phones.

Horizons is based out of Kaukauna, WI and serves 15 counties in Northeast Wisconsin. Travel within these counties is required (company car provided).

Requires:

• Familiarity with the family daycare business
• Knowledge of the Child and Adult Care Food Program
• Demonstrated communication skills; both verbal and written
• Knowledge of basic nutrition and food safety
• Attention to detail
• Understand the importance of clear documentation
• Working knowledge of computers and other technical platforms Self-motivated
• Good driving record and a valid driver’s license

Position will include:

• Flexible work schedule not to exceed 24 hours per week (with the very rare evening & weekend)
• Base Salary $17.00 per hour or commensurate with experience
• Personal paid time off and holidays
