CCR&R invites you to join us in learning more about the Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Initiative! We welcome ALL childcare providers to attend regardless of participation in the BFFCC initiative! The Wisconsin Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Provider Training is an introduction to basic breastfeeding support and to the Ten Steps to Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Centers. The training provides an overview of each of the steps, with information and resources to help programs implement them. The training also includes a section covering basic breastfeeding education, which is necessary to meet one of the steps. The training emphasizes equity and inclusivity in lactation support, and it is designed for all child care program staff and management. 

 LEARNING OBJECTIVES

o Understand why breastfeeding support is important in child care programs
o Describe the benefits of breastfeeding for families, child care programs, and the community
o Explain how to implement the Ten Steps to Breastfeeding-Friendly Child Care Centers
o Identify who to contact for assistance in becoming recognized as a Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Provider
